Newark City Schools administrators said they are investigating reports of misconduct by staff members at Cherry Valley Elementary School, The Newark Advocate reported.

The paper reported that one aide allegedly got mad and kept a class late, causing students to miss their bus home.

The paper also reported that one substitute teacher allegedly slapped a child in the back and another sub made cruel comments to a class, including that she hoped she never saw them again.

All three incidents reportedly happened at Cherry Valley Elementary School. According to The Advocate, parents came forward at Monday's school board meeting to address their concerns.
