Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Friday after his grandparents reported that he threw one of their dogs against a wall.
Officers arrested him at the Harrison Street home and charged him with injuring animals. He was taken to the Licking County Jail.
Authorities indicated the dog was checked by a veterinarian and expected to be OK.
The name of the man arrested was not immediately released.
