Band Director Charged With Alleged Sex Crimes Against Students

A Logan County high school band director faces a number of charges in connection with alleged sex crimes against students.

John Timothy Shook, the band director at Riverside High School in Logan County, was indicted on Tuesday for alleged sex crimes involving two female students who are now 15 and 18.

Shook, 34, faces one count of rape, five counts of sexual battery, one count of sexual battery and five counts of gross sexual imposition.

Shook currently is the band director at Riverside High School and was formerly a teacher at the Clark-Shawnee Local School District and the Covington Exempted Village Schools.

The Logan County Prosecutor's Office said that there could be other alleged victims. Anyone with information should call the Logan County Sheriff's Office at 937-592-5731.
