A mother said she wanted to clear up statements about the possibility of a satanic ritual at her home where a woman was found dead.
“There is nothing satanic, no satanic rituals or nothing is going on here in my house,” Roshell Tuck said.
When police arrived at Tuck’s Wildwood Avenue home on Tuesday evening, they found a woman’s body at the top of the basement stairs.
The woman was identified as 22-year-old Daivena Clay on Thursday evening.
Tuck ran to a neighbor’s house right before officers arrived and made a frantic call for help.
10TV News obtained the 911 call that Tuck made. During it, she told police dispatchers that her son told her that Satan told him to sacrifice her.
"Satan told him if I don't sacrifice you, I have to take my life tonight," Tuck said in the 911 call.
Tuck said that she had not listened to her 911 call.
“I just kind of felt threatened,” Tuck told 10TV News on Thursday. “I felt threatened to where it did come from my mouth because it was a spur of the moment. I was home alone, and before everything took place, I just felt threatened yesterday.”
Tuck’s son Breyon Bryant and a teenager girl were picked up by police and questioned on Wednesday. The two were let go, and no charges were filed.
The two told 10TV News on Thursday that they did nothing wrong.
Tuck, who had not talked to her son since the body was found, said that she has no idea who the woman found dead in her home was. She said she needed to talk to her son to find out what was going on.
Police said they continued to investigate Clay's death as suspicious.
The Franklin County Coroner said on Thursday that an initial autopsy did not uncover the cause of death. Further testing will be completed.
“I’m a nervous wreck, I’m a nervous wreck,” Tuck said.
