Reynoldsburg Family Startled Awake When Car Slammed Into Home

A Reynoldsburg family was jolted awake Sunday night when a car slammed into their home

It happened in the 3000 block of Fayburrow Drive.

People living inside the home said they heard a loud bang around midnight, and then saw a car in their home.

According to police, the driver was headed down the road when he somehow lost control of his vehicle.

The driver reportedly jumped the curb, ran through the yard, and landed up against the home.

Police and medics were called to the scene.

Officers told 10TV the driver failed a sobriety test at the scene and is expected to be charged with drunk driving.

No one inside the home was hurt.

The home’s foundation, and damage to the home will be inspected.
