A former corrections officer pleaded no contest to dereliction of duty charges on Monday.

Amber N. Stanley, 25, of Lancaster, was accused of engaging in phone sex with an inmate at the Southeast Ohio Correctional Institution and supplying drugs to coworkers.

On Monday, Stanley entered her plea to the charge and was sentenced 180 days in prison with 180 days suspended, to two years of probation and was banned from having contact with the male inmate and the correctional facility.  She also must pay a $100 fine.

According to a search warrant, Ohio State Highway Patrol officials began listening to an inmate’s phone conversations after officials received a tip that the inmate was bragging about having a relationship with a corrections officer.

Troopers said that Stanley sent the inmate explicit photographs of her body and had phone sex with him several times.

Court documents stated that Stanley admitted to sending the pictures of herself and receiving calls from him.

She also was accused of providing coworkers with drugs.
