Police announced on Sunday that human remains found behind a warehouse on Edgehill Road have been identified.
Those remains belonged to Kenneth C. Whitfield, a patient who disappeared from the OSU Wexner Medical Center in May of 2012.
Whitfield was 64 years old at the time.
A couple walking their dog on Saturday discovered a skeleton under some trees.
The cause of the man's death was not known. Police indicated they did not suspect foul play.
