A 14 year-old girl was shot outside of a building on Tamarack Boulevard in north Columbus late Saturday night.

A fight broke out at a party of mostly 13 to 18 year-olds when security stopped allowing people inside the packed building.

The victim left the building and tried to hide behind a large sign when she heard gunshots.

A stray bullet hit her in the thigh.

She was taken to a hospital and is recovering this morning.

Assault Unit detectives have not identified any suspects.
