Scattered snow showers and flurries will gradually taper off this evening. Clouds will begin to break up overnight with partly cloudy skies expected by morning. Temperatures will remain quite chilly with overnight lows ranging from the upper teens to lower 20s. Monday will start out with some sunshine before clouds increase ahead of our next storm system which will move into the state late Monday night.
Rain and snow will spread into the state on Tuesday and continue into Wednesday as a winter storm moves into the Ohio Valley. The storm track is still somewhat uncertain which will determine the precipitation type and the amounts. Right now it appears the heaviest snow (3”+) will fall across areas north and west of Columbus. Rain will likely mix with the snow across central and southern Ohio, which will cut likely back on snowfall amounts here. If the storm tracks farther south, then the heavier snow will also shift south. Precipitation should end by Wednesday evening with clearing skies and warmer temperatures on the way to end next week.
Alerts : NONE
Inconvenient Weather: A mixture of rain, freezing rain and snow will move into the state on Tuesday. Parts of central Ohio could receive accumulating snowfall with the greatest chance for snow expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
Planning your Day: A cold but dry start is expected Monday with partly cloudy skies. Clouds will increase late Monday into Monday night ahead of our next storm which arrives early Tuesday.
