Train Hits Vehicle In Athens County

A van was hit by a train at a crossing on Front Street in this Athens County village on Saturday.

Sheriff Patrick Kelly said there were no injuries. Kelly said the occupants of the van refused medical treatment.

According to the sheriff, the van was owned by the Certified Oil Co.

The sheriff's office indicated Glouster police were handling the crash.

A National Transportation Safety Board investigation was also expected.
