A 22-month-old child was found to be the victim of abuse.
According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified child was found to have bruises on her back and burns on her hands.
Licking County Children Services contacted the sheriff’s office about the child, who was then evaluated at Licking Memorial Hospital and diagnosed as a victim or violence.
Detectives arrested 24-year-old Terry Hoffer Jr. on felonious assault charges in connection with the child’s injuries.
Hoffer was taken to the Licking County Justice Center. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
Officials said they would continue to investigate.
