Two deputies charged in connection with the death of a man struck and killed by a vehicle were fired on Thursday from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
10 Investigates confirmed on Friday afternoon that Deputies Christopher Hughes and Derek Beggs were fired.
The two were linked to the death of Urial Juarez-Popoa, who was left at a Taco Bell after being found intoxicated in his car along Interstate 71 last summer.
After being dropped off at the restaurant, he was struck and killed by a vehicle.

Beggs and Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Sean Carpenter were found guilty of dereliction of duty charges in December. The two appealed the judge's decision.
Hughes pleaded no contest to a minor misdemeanor on failure to assist a law enforcement officer.
