Parents were notified on Friday evening about a threatening note found in a bathroom at a southern Ohio high school.

According to Southern Local Schools Superintendent Greg Holbert, a “kill note” threatening three students and two teachers was located in a boys’ restroom at Miller High School.

School officials notified the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.

Some students were interviewed, but officials said they had no one of interest in connection with the threatening note as of Friday night.

Holbert said that sheriff’s officials were planning to continue their investigation through the weekend.

As of Friday, there were no plans to have extra security on duty on Monday. The school already employs a school resource officer, the superintendent said.

Holbert said that classes did not dismiss early on Friday because the note was found late in the day.
