Columbus police are searching for a suspicious man who prompted a bomb scare near Port Columbus Thursday evening.
According to Port Columbus officials, a suspicious package was found at the McDonald's restaurant, located on International Gateway, at about 6:30 p.m.
Columbus police say customers spotted a man acting suspiciously around the restaurant.
Officers tell 10TV he then placed an item on the ground and ran away.
As a precaution, the restaurant was evacuated.
Bomb squad officials detonated the device but did not immediately reveal what it was.
Airport officials said that there was no impact on flights.
