A mother is charged with inducing panic after a S.W.A.T. situation in South Columbus.

The woman called police and said her daughter was dragged from a bar and being held hostage at a home in the 400 block of East Gates Drive early Wednesday morning.

S.W.A.T. officers arrived at the home and evacuated seven people.

After an investigation, police said the mother made a false claim and is being charged.
