Ohio State Warns Of Dangerous Man Possibly In Campus Area

University police said they were made aware Wednesday night that there might be a dangerous fugitive in the campus area.
 
Michael Moses Tarpeh, was wanted by Morgantown, W.Va. police for aggravated assault and attempted sexual assault.
 
Tarpeh, 23, was also wanted by Massachusetts State Police for an armed carjacking, robbery and assault and battery. He also had warrants pending with University Of Connecticut police.
 
Authorities described him as 6 feet tall, weighing 280 lbs.
 
He sometimes goes by the alias of Michael Moses Boadi and refers to himself as "Bigggggg Mike."

Brad Fleming, a spokesman from the U.S. Marshal's Office, told 10TV News there was no report of Tarpeh in the campus area, but past crimes he is accused of were committed around college campuses.

Fleming confirmed that Tarpeh was believed to be in the Columbus area based on reports from authorities in West Virginia.
 
Anyone with information about Tarpeh was asked to contact University Police at 292-2121, or Columbus Police at 645-4545.
