10TV has learned animal carcasses discovered near a Hamilton Township playground could be in violation of a Franklin County law.

About a dozen wild animal carcasses rotting in a fenced cage were found near a park off of Lockbourne Road on Monday.

Parents alerted authorities when their children discovered the bodies of deer, coyotes, geese and a raccoon in a neighbor's yard this week.

The Franklin County Public Health Department said it cannot determine whether the carcasses are in violation of county regulations until it gets permission to inspect the property.
