Liberty Street at Liberty Ridge Avenue was closed because of a serious crash on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Powell police, the crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m.
Larry Carper was traveling southbound on North Liberty Street when it left the roadway and struck a power pole.
Carper was ejected and hospitalized at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Police initially identified the victim as Michael Carper, but later told 10TV that name was incorrect.
