A stabbing suspect crashed into a pole during a chase with police.

A woman told police she was stabbed at 352 E. Hinman Avenue just before midnight on Monday.

Police found the woman with stab wounds to her head and neck.  She was able to give police a description of the suspect.

Police said they spotted the female suspect a short time later in the Groveport Road area.

Officers said the suspect took off when police tried to pull her over.

The chase went through part of Groveport ending in a crash on Williams and Groveport Roads.

Police said the suspect crashed into a pole bringing a number of power lines down.

About 400 people lost power for several hours until electrical crews were able to restore it around 7:30 A.M.

Both the stabbing suspect and the victim were transported to Grant Medical Center and are expected to be okay.
