Ohio University Police Search For Arsonist Who Set 8 Fires Inside Residence Hall

Ohio University police said that they were investigating after eight fires were intentionally set inside of a residence hall.

According to an Ohio University Crime Alert, eight fires were set inside of Tiffin Hall, located on the East Green of campus. Police responded to a report of the fires at about 9:20 a.m. Saturday.

OUPD said that fires were set by someone who ignited papers that were hanging on doors and walls. In some cases, the papers burnt the carpet in the building.

All of the damage was minor.
