Police are investigating after a woman's body was found below a bridge on the west side of Newark.
The discovery was made Friday after 6 p.m. by two children on the banks of Raccoon Creek under the state Route 79 overpass near North Pine Street.
Police identified the woman as Martha Darner, 44, of Newark.
Newark officers said she was found partially clothed with visible trauma.
"We have to treat it like it's a homicide until we can rule everything out," said Sgt. Dave Haren.
