The New Directions Career Center in Downtown Columbus is almost doubling in size and adding a free boutique for its clients.
Since 1980, the nonprofit has prepared women to enter the workforce, but it's been cramped in its downtown location.
However, it recently acquired an adjoining space, which gives the center an extra classroom, a library, a small conference room and more offices.
It also will open B's Boutique to outfit clients with gently used clothing for job interviews and work.
"A lot of places have business casual attire now,” said Linda Danter of the center. “We will offer business casual attire as well.”
The boutique accepts donations of clean, gently used clothes on hangers or in boxes, each Friday.
