Police are investigating after a human leg – and then the rest of a man’s body – was discovered inside a bundle of cardboard at a Dayton facility.

WHIO-TV, Dayton’s CBS affiliate, reported that the discovery was made on Wednesday night at the Rumpke Recycling Facility in Dayton.

Police said a worker discovered the leg and then found the rest of a man’s remains about 150 feet away.

Officials said they believed the body was discovered upon its arrival to the facility, but the plant serves five counties. It could take some time to figure out from where the body originated, WHIO reported.

Officials told the station that the body was not of an employee.

Police said the man was dressed in jeans and work boats.

It was not clear whether authorities had identified the remains.
