A woman faces an aggravated vehicular assault charge after allegedly driving a car on which a child “car surfed,” according to The Chillicothe Gazette.

Belinda S. Hufferd faces the felony charge after an 11-year-old fell off the vehicle she was driving in October and suffered a head injury.

According to the paper, the indictment against Hufferd alleges that she was driving under a suspended license at the time of the crash.

The incident occurred just two weeks after a teenager died in Chillicothe after car surfing.

Police said the teen, Jacob Wolfe, was car surfing in a Walmart parking lot.
