Closing Arguments Offered In Trial Of High School Star Accused Of Rape

The case of a former high school football star accused of rape was handed to the jury on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.

Closing arguments were held Tuesday in the case of Roger Lewis, Jr.

Lewis, 19, is accused of raping a woman twice. The defense insists the sex was consensual.

Lewis is a Pickerington Central graduate. The former football star had verbally committed to play for Ohio State.

At around 5:30 p.m, the judge sent the jury home for the night. They will reconvene on Wednesday morning.
