Snow Flurries Tonight, Freezing Rain Possible Later This Week

UPDATED: Wednesday February 20, 2013 5:13 AM

Your Doppler 10 Forecast

This Evening:    Cloudy with snow flurries.
Tonight:    Turning partly cloudy and cold.  Low 17.
Tomorrow:    Mix of sun and clouds…unseasonably cold.  High 28.
Thursday:    Partly sunny.  High 32.    (Monitoring for freezing rain after midnight Thursday night)

Special Information:

The snow may still be flying today, but I'm already tracking the next system and I don't like what I'm seeing. A warm front lifts into Ohio Thursday night with freezing rain turning to sleet and then rain during the day on Friday. Right now we are included in the high probability area for a tenth of an inch of ice... but could be as high as a quarter inch. Based on the current forecast track,  I would anticipate FREEZING RAIN ADVISORIES being issued late Thursday into Friday.

Alerts :  None

Inconvenient Weather:  Cold with wind chills in the single digits tonight and tomorrow morning near zero!!!!!! Then we have to closely monitor the track of freezing rain and sleet for Thursday night into Friday morning.  Friday morning drive could be very slick!!!

Planning your Day:  Unseasonably cold weather tomorrow and Thursday with highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s.  Average high is 41.
