A central Ohio church is celebrating Nationwide Children's Hospital's anniversary by building smiles for children.

Volunteers from Life Family Church made a Build-A-Bear toy for every patient at the hospital Sunday night.

Pastor Michael Steward said it's a natural fit with the mission of the church.

"If there's anything we can do to just bring a little comfort to families during one of the lowest times of their life, we want to be able to do that. We're all about families," Steward said.

Volunteers made the bears after hours Sunday at the Mall at Tuttle Crossing location, and the church will deliver the 252 bears on Feb. 27
