UPDATED: Friday February 15, 2013 1:57 PM

A former Clinton Township fiscal officer was sentenced to four years for stealing $138,000 in funds.

Rebecca Christian was sentenced on Friday, according to the Ohio Auditor's Office.

The investigation began in 2012, and authorities said Christian's bank fund showed transfers of public dollars into her personal account.

She pleaded guilty to a bill of information and waived her right to an indictment in November.

Christian will serve two years for a theft in office charge and two years for a tampering of records charge. She was also ordered to repay the almost $138,000.
