The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office took a person into custody Wednesday night following a stabbing at a church.
The Zanesville Times Recorder reported that a woman was stabbed at the First Church of God on Newark Rd. just about 3:15 p.m.
The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A suspect was apprehended later Wednesday night, according to the Times Recorder.
The newspaper reported that charges are pending with the prosecutor's office.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim or suspect in the case.
