Alleged Rape Victim Plans To Testify Against Former High School Football Star

UPDATED: Thursday February 14, 2013 1:08 PM

An alleged rape victim is scheduled to take the stand Thursday to testify against a former high school football star.

Roger Lewis Jr., 19, is charged with two counts of rape in connection with two alleged encounters with a then 18-year-old woman, one in December 2011 and another in January 2012.

Much of the testimony on Wednesday revolved around the clash of cultures between Lewis, an African American and the alleged victim, who is Asian American.

Lewis, who was a former Pickerington Central High School football star, had verbally committed to play football for the Buckeyes in 2012.

He faces 22 years if convicted.
