One person was pronounced dead after a crash involving a car and a tanker on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at Georgesville Road and Sullivant Avenue on the southwest side.
The intersection was closed for investigation.
One person, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Doctors West Hospital, where the person died.
No other injuries from the crash were reported.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
