Police raided a south Columbus store on Tuesday for allegedly selling counterfeit goods.

Police executed the search warrant at the Smoke Shop, located at 1730 Lockbourne Road, shortly before noon.

According to police, store employees are accused of having hundreds of dollars worth of counterfeit items, including hats and shoes.

10TV News crews on scene witnessed police searching the store. Investigators also brought in a large truck to load the alleged counterfeit items.

According to a release from the Ohio Investigative Unit on Wednesday afternoon, the store was administratively cited with improper conduct for selling alleged counterfeit items such as Nike, Baby Phat and Michael Kors shoes and Major League Baseball and collegiate apparel.

Criminal charges are pending for the sale.

The administrative citation will be referred to the state department of liquor control for their consideration. Officials said that selling counterfeit goods in a liquor permit establishment is a violation of the Liquor Control Act.
