Representatives from The Limited announced on Wednesday that they have launched a nationwide search for a new chief executive officer.
According to PR Newswire, CEO Linda Heasley, who joined the company in 2007, is stepping down to pursue other interests, effective Feb. 15.
The company’s board of directors established an interim Office of the President to manage the day-to-day operations of the company.
Executive Vice President and CFO John Buell, Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager Nicolas Frechette and Senior Vice President of Stores William Acevedo will serve as part of the Office of the President and will report directly to the board of directors.
"John, Nicolas and William are dedicated executives who have been instrumental to the development of The Limited," said T. Scott King, Chairman of the Board of The Limited. "The Board is confident that the company is well positioned for success, and will continue to make progress against our strategic plan under their leadership during this interim period."
