2 Men Rob Northwest Columbus Bank At Gunpoint

Police are asking for information about two men who robbed a northwest Columbus bank on Tuesday morning.

According to investigators, two men entered the Cooper State Bank, located at 1669 W. 5th Ave., at about 11 a.m.

Investigators said that one of the men was carrying a handgun. The two men demanded money from employees, who opened the cash drawer and gave the men cash.

The employee placed the cash in a tan and green bag, and the two men ran west from the bank.

Anyone in the area at the time of the robbery who saw men described as the following are asked to call the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-3901:

One man was described as black, wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up, a black mask and dark pants. He was 6 feet tall, 220-250 pounds, 20-30 years old and was holding a black handgun.

The other man was described as white, wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood up, a black mask across his face and blue jeans. He was described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150-180 pounds, 20-30 pounds and was carrying the tan/green bag.
