Man Faces Felony Drug Charges After Troopers Seize Nearly $32,000 Worth Of Marijuana

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized nearly $32,000 worth of marijuana after a stop in Jackson County last week.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Andrew Riggen from Garrett, Ind.,  is facing felony drug charges after being stopped on U.S. Route 35 at 11:43 p.m. Thursday.

A drug-sniffing was used to detect drugs, and a search revealed seven pounds of marijuana in vehicle’s trunk.

Riggen was taken to the Jackson County Jail and charged with a third-degree felony possession of marijuana, according to troopers.

He could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
