Franklin County Sheriff's officials said that one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday.

According to the sheriff's office, David Fuhrman was passenger in a vehicle driving along Interstate 71 south of Big Darby Creek when the driver, Fuhrman's sister Deborah Dehner, lost control and struck a guardrail.

The crash occurred at about 5:30 a.m.

Fuhrman, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene at about 5:45 a.m.

Dehner, 46, was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remained under investigation, but authorities said they believed neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash.
