Troopers Stop To Aid Stranded Motorist Only To Find Marijuana, Gun

The Ohio Highway Patrol said they made an arrest of a man who they originally stopped to help when his vehicle broke down.

Qualin L. Daniel, 23, of West Chester, was arrested in Hamilton County in southwest Ohio.

OHP officials said they found a pound of hydroponic marijuana, a loaded 9mm gun, and $4,500 in cash Daniel’s vehicle.

The vehicle was broken down along I-75 just after 9 p.m. on Sunday night.

Daniel has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of weapons.

If convicted, he faces a possible six year prison sentence.
