A woman was recovering on Tuesday after being shot in the abdomen.
Her boyfriend, Jason David Moore, was charged with improperly discharging a firearm, felonious assault and three counts of endangering children in connection with the shooting.
According to police, Moore, 25, shot his live-in girlfriend, Kali Shuemaker, at a home on Amherst Place in Lancaster at about 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
Shuemaker was taken to the Fairfield Medical Center and then was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus by medical helicopter. She is expected to recover from her injuries.
Moore was being held at the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office on bond.
