A landlord who previously served jail time in connection with renting homes not fit to be lived in faced a judge on Monday.
A judge ruled that Sam Vazirani could be released on $10,000 cash bond to house arrest. Under the terms of his release, Vazirani would be required to wear a GPS tracker and only leave his house to receive medical care.
Vazirani was arrested in late January after allegedly violating the terms of his probation. Court documents stated that Vazirani was still involved in real estate, which was prohibited as part of his probation.
Vazirani was jailed last year after a home that he owned and illegally rented to a family burned, killing three people, including a young child, on Christmas Eve 2011.
Vazirani faces more than a year in jail if found guilty of violating probation.
