Crash Brings Down Wires, Knocks Out Electricity In Southwest Columbus

Some southwest Columbus residents were without power after a car hit a pole early Monday morning.

Police said Hall Road was closed between Cowton Drive and Cherry Bud Drive after power lines came down due to the crash. The road reopened around 7 a.m.

American Electric Power crews had to restore power to several thousand people who lost it.

Police said the person who was driving the car fled the scene.
