The Licking County Sheriff’s Department said one person was shot in an apartment building near the Burning Tree Golf Course.
The Newark Advocate reports the victim has died.
The shooting occurred just after 9 p.m. on Ridgely Tract Rd. SE.
Authorities are on the scene and interviewing residents in the area.
The name of the victim has not been released, and no one is in custody at this time.
