A new Brain and Spine Hospital is coming soon to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
The Board of Trustees approved $2 million to start planning renovations for the new hospital.
Wexner Medical Center's CEO Dr. Steven Gabbe says the renovations will start in the current James Cancer Hospital Building once that hospital has finished moving.
"We'll consolidate all of the neuroscience services in one hospital. And by doing that we'll bring together world-renowned experts, they'll be teaching together,they'll be considering new research opportunities together."
The new Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2014.
No word on when the Brain and Spine Hospital will open.
