Parents Charged After 3-Month-Old Hospitalized With Broken Ribs, Burns

The parents of a 3-month-old boy were charged with child endangering after their son ended up in a hospital with broken ribs, burns and extensive bruising, according to The Coshocton Tribune.

Christopher Starkey, 22, and Kelsey Starkey, 20, were charged with second-degree felony counts of child endangering.

The paper reported that hospital officials notified authorities after the child was hospitalized on Tuesday in critical condition.

During a video interview, both parents admitted to harming the child, the paper reported Det. Brent McKee said in a sworn affidavit.
