Newark Police say a man is being held in connection with a abduction reported by his girlfriend.

Joshua Davis, 33, was arrested on Wednesday after a standoff with police on Glenbrook Dr.

According to police, Davis' girlfriend reported Wednesday that she was abducted and held in a vehicle for around 45 minutes on Tuesday. A gun was fired but no one was injured.

While no gun was located, ammunition magazines were located inside of the residence.

Davis is being held in the Licking County Justice Center and faces possible indictment for kidnapping and other crimes.
