Police said that Gahanna Christian Academy was on lockdown Wednesday morning after a threat was received.

Officials lifted the lock down mid-morning.

According to police, the school, located at 817 Hamilton Road, was placed on lockdown after a phone message was left with the school.

Police said that a phone call threat was received at about 9:13 p.m. Tuesday. The voicemail mentioned school shootings and was discovered on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the call on the voicemail sounded young and claimed to be with the police department.

Although school officials believe the call was a prank, they said they wanted to take it seriously.
