A former southwest Ohio police officer will face a judge Wednesday on theft charges.

Investigators think Ryan Hunt kept $4,600 raised during a memorial golf tournament intended to help the family of Deputy Brian Dulle.

Dulle died in 2011 while trying to use stop sticks to stop a stolen car.

Hunt is charged with theft in the case.

Authorities do say he finally gave most of the money to the family fund, but only after investigators opened their case.
