The new format of The Columbus Dispatch arrived on doorsteps Monday hot off the presses.
The new format, which is visibly smaller and about the size of an iPad when folded, is the culmination of years of research and listening to readers.
The update features more stories and more pages without changing the size of the font. With the new format comes a daily business section and an improved nation and world section.
The paper also features new labeling and fewer jumps, making it easier for readers to navigate stories and sections.
“It’s the very first time that a daily newspaper will launch with this format,” said Dispatch Printing Company Chief Operating Officer Joe Gallo. “We've been about being ahead of the curve. We’ve been about trying to serve Columbus with what the city really deserves and should get. And this is just another evolution in that step."
The Columbus Dispatch is owned by the parent company of WBNS-10TV.
