The Columbus Regional Airport Authority is working to get a direct flight to a European city at Port Columbus International Airport.
It would be the first time such a flight would be available out of Port Columbus.
An airport spokesperson said there is no specific destination at this time, and it is unclear when any European flight would get off the ground.
The move to acquire a European flight is part of the authority's efforts to increase passenger traffic out of the airport, which has been relatively flat in recent years, officials said.
