Reward Offered For information About Gas Station Robbery, Beating

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers announced on Sunday that it is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person responsible for a violent robbery.

According to Crime Stoppers, on Nov. 28 at about 10:15 a.m., a maroon minivan pulled up to the Swifty Gas Station, located at 5280 Westerville Road.

A man got out of the van and headed toward the restrooms and called for the attendant, stating that the restrooms were locked.

According to Crime Stoppers, when the attendant got to the restrooms, the man demanded cash from him and started beating him.

The attendant handed over cash, and the man ran toward East Dublin-Granville Road, where a woman driving the maroon minivan picked him up.

The man is described as black, heavy set, 18-30 years of, 5 feet 8 inches tall with neatly tripped facial hair.

Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000 for information received by Feb. 6 that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of those responsible for the crime.
