A family in West Columbus is safe after a house fire on Whitethorne Avenue overnight.
Crews said the fire was caused by a dryer in the basement.
The fire spread to a mechanical fuse box, so crews quickly turned off the electricity.
The damage is estimated at less than one thousand dollars.
